Technology Instruction

Technology gives students the opportunity to share with each other and enables students and families to communicate directly in our global CS learning environment.

Learning how to use various tools is an integral part of each course and activity. The amount and type of technology use varies depending upon the course and the student’s grade level.

Students use:

  • The Internet to connect to lessons and to do online learning activities and research.
  • Interactive, animated lessons--and in the process, learn how to learn online.
  • An online learning environment that prepares them for the continuing lifetime learning that will be an important part of their future.
  • Email to communicate with their education specialist and each other.
  • Word processing and presentation software to complete some assignments.
  • Standard graphics software.
  • Internet Telephone.
  • A Web conferencing system to communicate with groups of fellow students and to make presentations.
