Technology Instruction

The Daycroft OLC learning environment gives students the opportunity to master several key tools that will serve them throughout the rest of their education and beyond. Online learning has become an integral part of most college and university programs and some high schools now require students to take an online course to graduate.

Our students learn how to:

• Navigate in a learning management system.
• Learn online, using interactive lessons and activities.
• Achieve success with online quizzes and assessments.
• Effectively use word processing and presentation software.
• Participate in group webinars using online conferencing tools such as "Go To Meeting."
• Communicate in individual video conversations using Skype.

Most importantly, through these tools our students develop the skills to be independent learners, preparing them for the continuing lifetime learning that will be an important part of their future.
